USING SSB RESPONSIBLY

Terms of Service

Super Smart Buddy (SSB) is an individually operated study service run by its founder. These terms describe the rules for using the public website, demo, and invited study spaces, subject to applicable law. Read them alongside our Privacy Policy. Use SSB for learning, respect others’ rights, and follow your school’s rules.

Eligibility and account access

The current pilot is intended for U.S. students age 13 and older and their families. Students under 18 should involve a parent or guardian in setting up and using their account. Personal study spaces are invitation-only. The invitation process does not independently verify every parent/guardian relationship or record a separate guardian agreement.

Provide accurate information, use only accounts and study spaces you are authorized to access, and keep credentials and private invitations secure. Do not share an invitation in public or access another person’s materials. An invitation does not guarantee ongoing access, a launch date, or a particular future price.

Study help has limits

Albert is an automated study tool, not a human tutor, teacher, licensed professional, or emergency service. SSB helps organize class materials, explain confusing steps, review mistakes, create fresh practice, and guide study using saved course context and answers.

Explanations and practice feedback can be wrong. Extracted text, diagrams, questions, and learning summaries may be incomplete or inaccurate. Check important information against your course materials and teacher’s guidance. Learning summaries are tentative study aids—not diagnoses, official grades, or proof of mastery. SSB does not guarantee grades, mastery, admission, or exam results.

What you may upload

Your content and limited permission

You keep any rights you hold in your uploads; other rights remain with their respective owners. By submitting material, you give SSB permission, only to the extent you can lawfully do so, to store, process, and display it to you and people authorized for your study space, and to use disclosed service providers as needed to provide study help. This does not give SSB ownership or permission to publish your schoolwork in a public demo, share it with unrelated students, or use it in marketing.

Do not use SSB to redistribute protected materials or build a shared library of textbook or exam copies. Study explanations and fresh practice are not a license to reproduce or sell the underlying material. You are responsible for checking relevant permissions and school requirements before using or sharing submitted material or responses.

SSB’s name, logo, website design, and software remain the property of their respective owners. Permission to use the service is not permission to impersonate SSB, claim its branding as your own, or redistribute its software except where separately authorized or permitted by law.

Responsible use

Do not use SSB to cheat during restricted assessments, impersonate others, obtain unauthorized account access, bypass security or usage limits, distribute unlawful or harmful material, or interfere with the service. Treat supplied class materials as evidence for study, not permission to override teacher restrictions or another person’s rights.

The demo uses sample coursework and does not require an account. Do not put real student records or sensitive information into demo questions. The demo is not a permanent or official student record.

Privacy, requests, and account closure

Before acting on requests involving account records, we check identity and authority as appropriate. A claimed guardian relationship, knowledge of an email address, or possession of a request reference is not sufficient by itself. We may ask for limited clarification and will handle requests according to applicable law. Do not send passwords, private sign-in links, schoolwork, or ID documents through the form.

The founder’s receiving email is not displayed on public request pages. Requests are stored privately and sent through the disclosed email provider; they are not published, sent to the tutor, or added to the interest list. The Privacy Policy explains access by authorized administrators/family members, provider processing, retention criteria, and the limits of file deletion.

Account closure, deletion, and withdrawal from marketing are distinct actions. Removing an upload does not necessarily erase earlier messages or all derived learning records. Copies in restricted backups, justified legal/security records, providers’ records, or independently downloaded files may require separate handling. We do not promise immediate or automatic erasure of every copy.

If you believe material on SSB infringes copyright, use the copyright concern form. Identify the work, explain where the material appears, and provide enough detail for us to locate it without requiring access to someone else’s private study space.

SSB reviews reports and may request more information, remove or restrict access to material, and notify the affected account holder as appropriate. SSB may suspend or terminate accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. A report does not automatically remove material, change coursework, or establish infringement. Rights-related decisions are reviewed by a person.

If you believe your material was removed in error, use the same form, include the report reference if available, and explain your permission, license, or other lawful basis. Formal legal notices and counter-notices may require additional information and review. Knowingly false infringement claims can have legal consequences. This reporting channel is not a claim that SSB has registered a designated DMCA agent.

Pilot availability and payments

Features, usage limits, supported formats, and availability may change during the pilot. The service may be interrupted or unavailable. Keep a separate copy of important original schoolwork; SSB is not a guaranteed backup service.

These terms do not authorize a payment, subscription, or automatic renewal. If paid plans are offered, pricing, billing, cancellation, and refund conditions will be disclosed separately before any required agreement or charge. Joining an interest list does not buy a plan.

Access restrictions and your rights

SSB may restrict or end access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security or safety risks, rights concerns, legal obligations, or pilot administration. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the action and offer a way to request review through the request form. Urgent protective action may be taken before notice.

Nothing in these terms removes non-waivable consumer or privacy rights, excuses obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded, or creates a guarantee of compliance with every school’s requirements. Applicable law governs any enforceability issue. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or a particular court venue.

Changes and contact

We will post updated terms with a new effective date and provide a prominent notice or contact affected account holders about material changes where appropriate or required. We will seek additional agreement when applicable law requires it. A change does not override earlier privacy promises or automatically authorize new uses of existing schoolwork.

For privacy or account questions, contact the founder through the private request form. For copyright issues, use the copyright concern form.
